Course 2 students are finishing their work on signed numbers.  We will create a poster showcasing what we have learned about positive and negative numbers the last part of next week.  Information will be distributed in class, as well as posted to the virtual filing cabinet.

Course 1 students have started working with factors and multiples.

Next week course 1 students will have a quiz on decimal computation (Tuesday) and start work with factors.
Course 2 students will work on multiplying integers and rational numbers.

Course 1 students are starting work on decimal computation.  With each operation, we are starting with a conceptual approach, then moving to skill practice.

Course 2 students are starting work with integer operations.

Course 1 students are working hard on long division.  We will continue working on long division next week, with a quiz on Thursday.  We'll start decimal computation next week, also.
Course 2 students will continue their review of fractions, and fraction computation next week.
I look forward to seeing everyone at Curriculum Night next week on September 11.
